I draw on expressive techniques to involve participants deeply and provide opportunities for them to open to insight and change. My work has taken me to higher education and other learning communities, to service providers in helping agencies, to workplace teams, and to many community groups. I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1983.
I am involved in training counselors as a core member of the faculty of the Saint Martin’s University Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program in Lacey, Washington. The art and spiritual practice of witnessing the journey of another is at the heart of all that I do. As a teacher, consultant, and student services professional, I have been associated with a number of higher education institutions on the Pacific coast of the U. S. and in Mexico.
Improvisational theatre and clinical psychology are my main disciplines. My areas of specialty include developmental psychology, expressive and arts therapies, psychodrama, sociodrama, anti-oppression, and cultural awareness in counseling.
